Our mission: to raise funds for research that will lead, step by step, to the successful treatments and eventual perfect management and care of Kidney disease.
To carter for children deprived of education and training

Many go hungry, living in dangerous conditions with no one to protect them. Without a mother or father to care for them, these children have become susceptible

To carter for people suffering from hunger and deprivations

According to the UN Hunger Report, hunger is the term used to define periods when populations are experiencing severe food insecurity.

To carter for destitute and homeless in the society

Because most funding for homelessness charities comes from government and is tied to housing, private donations play a crucial role in broadening

Why the Kidney Fund?

  • We are a-patient driven charity dedicated to funding research to improve the diagnosis and care of kidney disease and to finding a cure.
  • We are based in Nigeria, which has one of the largest renal patient populations in the Africa. We represent kidney patients across Nigeria with a population of well over 2 million people suffering from Kidney Diseases.
  • We believe in education at all levels – from raising awareness in the community, within clinics, Hospitals; about kidney disease and providing specialist medical training & Equipment’s; through to funding research.
  • We believe in and; practice Collaborative Approach to Fundraising
  • Patients, their families, friends and medical staff are very active in fund activities for the charity. The charity is in the process of raising funds for a purpose-built dedicated kidney research institute
  • Work collaboratively with services providers e.g., medical teams to provide free health screening, consultations and help funds basic medical procedures like cataracts removal, medication purchases, consultation fees etc
